Research Avenues

The Oslo Medical Corpus is designed to support a wide range of studies that may be pursued by scholars of medicine, medical humanities, sustainable healthcare and education, history of science, corpus linguistics, discourse studies, and those interested in the ongoing contestation of mainstream perspectives on health governance, medical expertise, sources and understandings of evidence, public policy in times of medical crises, and health surveillance.

This section of the site is currently under construction. It will gradually be populated with examples of research that can be conducted by interrogating the Oslo Medical Corpus in various ways, along with guidance on how each research question might be pursued. The emphasis will be on suggesting methodological routes through the vast and complex set of corpora and text analysis software that are being developed as part of this project.
